About Us

One sunny Saturday morning while visiting Chicago, I had the opportunity to shop on
Armitage Street, minus kids.  The moment I stepped off the El I began to sweat and shake from pure excitement.  Does this sound familiar?  I know I'm not the only
sick-o out there.  This site is dedicated to you, my friend.  One of my favorite toasts that my friend Rob says is, "To us and to others like us".  Amen, brother.

The only problem I had when I stepped off the El was, I didn't know where to begin.  I would have loved a directory to help before I left home.  I want to help you discover boutiques you may be missing in your city, help direct you when you're visiting another city, or help you find something unique and special from an online only boutique.

Each week, an exciting, fun boutique will be featured. We will email you, or you look us up, once a week for the "Boutique of the Week".

Enough "about us", let's talk about me!

My name is Joey, I live in the Midwest    and am the proud momma of Molly and  Annie. I lived in Southern California for about six years and couldn't wait to get back to the Midwest after Molly was born.

I love to sew funky clothes and bags for myself, my friends, and my kids.  I've been sewing off and on since jr. high.  In November of 2007 I started my own blog, click on Joey's Blog and just enjoy, my friends.  I recently started playing the guitar and love to play for anyone.  I specialize in songs for toddlers and and have a pretty strong following of about two, maybe three kids in the hood.

My dream has ALWAYS been to open a boutique of my own.  The problem was, I couldn't decide exactly which direction to go in, I am inspired and love so many styles and things.  I eventually discovered that my TRUE love is GOING to great boutiques.  This website is a Boutique Directory designed to bring my true love to you.  I'll find them and we'll shop them together!
