About Us
I'm Vicky Houston.  I operate BoutiqueoftheWeek.com with my sister, Joey Vickery.  I have worked at a Web site development company for years and always thought it would be fun to have a Web site of my own. 

A few years ago, Joey was visiting Chicago. She stepped off the El on to Armitage Street and thought, "if only there were some sort of boutique directory I could have looked up before I left home..."  Hmmm - an idea was born. Who better to operate a Web site with than my sister? Joey is known to be the funny, outgoing, energetic one of the family. I, on the other hand, could be the behind the scenes one to manage the site.

Joey and I spent months pouring over ideas for our Web site and had a blast doing it.  Finally in the spring of 2008, our site launched. 

We want to help you discover boutiques you may be missing in your city, help direct you when you're visiting another city, or help you find something unique and special from an online only boutique.

Together we pick our favorite boutiques to share with you each week.  We are also always on the lookout for great boutiques to add to our Boutique Directory.

Some other info about me (Vicky):
- I have one daughter, age eight who is absolutely wonderful.
- I'm married to Kevin, a wonderful husband, father, cook, fix-it-guy, artist and wine bottle opener.

Some other info about Joey:
- She has two daughters, age seven and age four.  They are each so different, and so fun in their own way.
- She's the most awesome  teacher your fifth grade elementry student could ever wish for.
- She loves to sew funky clothes and bags for herself, her friends, and her kids.  She's been sewing off and on since jr. high.
